Here’s Melanie Fiona’s new music video “It Kills Me.” I’m a big fan of Ms. Fiona because I like her sound, and she has talent. Her debut album, “The Bridge” has already been released internationally, but its U.S. release has been pushed back yet again to November.

I would like to wish a Happy 16th Birthday to Ms. Keke Palmer. Ever since I watched “Akeelah and the Bee,” I’ve liked her. She’s talented, and brings up a W word rarely used nowadays — she seems wholesome. I just love her. I hope her career only gets better in the future. KeKe, please [...]

I always give the artists I enjoy listening to a lot of love on WLLC. And if you’ve read the blog for a minute, it’s no secret that I love K’Jon’s “On the Ocean.” I love that the song actually has a message: struggling to fulfill your dreams. And K’Jon’s personal story is inspiring. I’m really excited to see what’s in [...]

The greatness that was Stevie Wonder on the piano during this week’s Michael Jackson memorial: Last weekend I told my aunt that my soul was complete after finally purchasing Stevie Wonder’s “Songs in the Key of Life.” Why didn’t anyone tell me before? Why did it take 23 years for that to enter my collection? [...]

Update: Here’s my review of Maxwell’s “BLACKsummers’night” after buying it and giving it some love. Although I was anxiously looking forward to its release, when I previewed the album last week, it didn’t grab me enough to make me want to take Maxwell’s “Now” from the player. I usually have a favorite artist or two [...]
